About Deneen Pottery
Founded in 1972 by Peter and Mary Deneen in St. Paul, Minnesota, Deneen Pottery is a family-run business specializing in handcrafted stoneware. Known for their signature Glaze Engraving™ technique, they create uniquely detailed designs using plaster molds and clay. Every mug is hand-thrown and touched by over 24 skilled artisans, making each piece one-of-a-kind.
Their stoneware is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, free of lead and heavy metals, and made to last. Sustainability is also at their core—they’ve used solar energy since 2017 and pack orders with biodegradable peanuts and recycled newsprint.
With over 70 talented craftspeople on their team, they continue to blend artistry with function, producing heirloom-quality pottery that’s as beautiful as it is practical.
